welcome. this side of the site is about many of the creative projects that I work on. please check the various pages for info about my sound recording work, be it for picture or live or studio band recordings, my artwork, harp playing and also my own music and record label.
I completed a degree in Music Technology from Derby Uni and an HND from Confetti in Nottingham simultaneously in 2003, and loved it! I love what I do because I am constantly finding new ways to use my skills and develop audio and music, and I never stop learning.
I initially wanted to learn to write, engineer and produce electronic music and thats still a huge part of what I do so please visit the Clare Large section of my site, and to hear my own tracks, mixes and radio shows. I also have a MySpace page.
I work as a location sound recordist, mixer and boom op for any kind of visual production. I do a lot of audio post production; mainly foley, dubbing mixing, sound and dialogue editing, tracklaying whole programmes and features, recording sound FX, sound design, composition, and so much more. Sound for animation I particularly enjoy! I will ALWAYS consider any projects so please do get in touch using the form on the right.
I regularly do multi track live sound recording at gigs, and work as a freelance sound technician at the National Film Theatre for their Blacktronica nights, and set up larger shows at some of their special events.
Everywhere I travel I make recordings with my Binaural microphones showcasing the wonderful diversity of accents, environments and energy we have on the planet. These have been submitted to the British Library, and you can listen on the worldwide binaural page, regularly updated.
